TRAVELLERS' GUIDES (JONATHAN CAPE)
Series Note: The London Observer newspaper called the Traveller's Guides series "'well produced, pocketable, authoritative and full of the kind of information you always hoped for." Each book in this series was produced before travel guides were dumbed down and features serious historical information as well as practical material.
Each volume is a handy 12mo. (4.25"x 6.75"/17.5 x 11.5 cm.) hardback with laminated pictorial boards (no dustjacket). Most volumes have 200-350 pages plus B&W photos, maps, and diagrams, as well as an index, bibliography, and glossary. The endpapers feature blue-and-grey maps. Some volumes include a fold-out chart of recommended excursions.
