In the years Ananda Publications of Kolkata (Calcutta) published a series of Tintin albums translated into the Bengali language of eastern India and of Bangladesh.
Ananda Publishers, which had been founded in 1957, "set high editorial standards and introduced contemporary techniques in Bengali book production and distribution".
