Series Note: This polemical series from the Unitarian publishing house, The Beacon Press, of Boston, Massachusetts, was called an "anti-McCarthy series" by The Oxford Companion to the Book (2010). In addition to its attack on American politician and anti-Communist agitator Senator Joseph McCarthy, it also call attention to the rising attacks on the separation of church and state.
