Series Note: This series was launched in 1830 by the publisher William Pickering (1796-1854). He publshed 53 volumes. After Pickering's business failed in 1853, the series was taken over and continued by Bell and Daldy and then continued later again, under the name of the The Aldine Edition of the British Poets, by George Bell & Sons.
